At least for a few days. And oh, what a blissful retirement it was. After touring the famous Vance Villa and reacquainting themselves with its penguins, they visited the Evergreen Flight Museum in the town of McMinnville. There they saw a number of historic aircraft, including the famous Spruce Goose, which is made mostly of wood and boasts the longest wingspan of any aircraft.
The next day Mom and Dad went to church with Jonathan and Jenelle. Later, they looked thru every single picture that Jenelle and Jonathan brought home from Antarctica, truly a superhuman feat. That evening, Jenelle made Jonathan a chocolate souffle in honor of Jonathan’s upcoming 30th birthday.
Mom and Dad finished off their trip with a jaunt thru Silver Falls State Park, which gave them a chance to admire some of Oregon’s most visited waterfalls.
Jenelle and Jonathan were very happy they came.
